Renting the Wood

Available Spaces

The T.W. Wood Gallery at 46 Barre St in Montpelier has two, second floor meeting spaces available for rent. The 800 Sq Ft Meeting Room has wifi, a baby grand piano, folding tables and chairs for up to 60 attendees is available, abundant natural light and access to a kitchen. The 800 sq ft Classroom is ideal for painting classes. An LCD projector and screen is available for a fee. Rooms are available for rent for your event, presentation, meeting, or class. • Weekdays and evenings, $50 an hour, 2-hour minimum - $85
• Half day $150, Full day $250
• Weekend days and evenings $60 an hour, 2-hour minimum - $100
• Half day $175 Full day $275
Classroom (800 Sq Ft)
• Weekdays and evenings, $40.00 an hour, 2-hour minimum - $60
• Half Day $100 Full Day $175
• Weekend days and evenings $50.00 an hour, 2 hour minimum - $85

Full Gallery Rental
Enjoy access to the full Gallery including the T.W. Wood and Works progress Administration permanent art collection rooms, the contemporary room and hallway and the art classroom!

Children's Art Birthday Parties

Create Your Own Event!

Birthday parties at the Gallery are a fun time for everyone involved! A two hour party includes two different art activities to explore! Choose from led by an experienced art educator. Art activities for children to choose from include:
  1. Architects: Build a building with straws, Popsicle sticks, marshmallows, tooth picks and more!
  2. Up-cycled Art: Trash to Treasures build a 3 D structure with materials from your recycling bin, broken toys and other materials to reuse
  3. Wild Animal Masks: Make a mask of your favorite animal or totem!
  4. Collage Portraits: Bring a photo of yourself, a friend, pet or family member to make a collage portrait!
  5. Wearable Art - make your own unique art pin!
  6. Origami animals: learn how to fold and make paper animal creations!
BYO birthday party treats and cake, drinks and paper goods
Picture
You bring the food and beverages and we will provide a creative and fun art activity, led by a local artist! Choose from:
Collages: Make a collage from some of your favorite photos! Bring your personal mementos and we'll supply an assortment of colorful art papers and ribbons etc.
Water Color: Watercolors can go anywhere with you, leave the party with a basic understanding of water colors, how to mix colors and paint a quick and beautiful creation!
Painting with Acrylics: Explore acrylic paint which bright, colorful, easy to use and dries quickly. We'll supply canvas board, paint and brushes!
Origami: Learn the Japanese craft of paper folding, make an assortment of paper boxes, animals and other creations!
