Want to keep art alive in Central Vermont?
You can make sure art has a place in Central Vermont by joining the Education Committee at the T.W. Wood Gallery. We need your help! The Gallery and an inspiring group of volunteers are working hard to provide arts educational opportunities for children and adults. We try to provide a wide selection of opportunities. For children, we offer day camps, summer camps and after school programs. For adults, we offer various art workshops such as painting, drawing, collage, tea ceremonies and more. In the future, we hope to offer art-related bus trips, street art with families, and more. The ideal volunteer is creative, appreciates art, and has interest or experience designing classes and educational offerings. Our education committee of 4 members meets about 4 times per year and communicates primarily by email. Your contribution to the team might include finding out the cost of paint supplies, researching interesting art exhibit for bus trips, networking with artists who could teach a workshop, or brainstorming ideas about new classes and activities. Just a few hours of your time would help tremendously. This is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with an energizing group of volunteers, to make a difference in your community, and to connect with the unique work and collections of the T.W. Wood Gallery.
