Light Up the Night: Lantern Workshops at TW Wood Gallery

In celebration of Montpelier’s Bridge Illumination Project, TW Wood Gallery and Montpelier Alive are excited to offer a way for the community to participate in lantern-making for our Opening Lighting Ceremony and Lantern Parade on November 16. Create your own beautiful lanterns to illuminate downtown Montpelier! Workshops are taught by local artist Sabrina Fadial, who also serves as the Executive Director of the T.W. Wood Gallery. 
Free Drop-in Workshops: 
November 2nd and 9th
Saturdays 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM 
Free (materials provided)

Join us for these free workshops! Make your own glowing work of art out of willow and paper. Participants can choose from two beautiful lantern designs. All materials are provided. All ages and abilities welcome. 

Greeting Card Printmaking Workshop

November 9th
Saturday 1:00pm - 5:00pm
tuition: $45 (materials provided)

Make your own cards this holiday season! Join artist and educator Phillip Robertson for an afternoon of carving and printing. Students will be led through the process of carving a small piece of unmounted linoleum as a relief print for holiday cards. Everyone will get to print at least 10 of their original images onto sized cardstock to fit a standard envelope. All skill levels welcome to participate in this opportunity to make a holiday card for all occasions. Materials will be supplied for the workshop. All experience levels welcome.

Instructor: Phillip Robertson is an interdisciplinary artist and educator living in Vermont since 1994. Robertson teaches art history, drawing, painting, and printmaking at the Community College of Vermont and Vermont State University-Johnson Campus.
